Hey there and welcome! I'm Rachel.

Design is not just my profession—it's a part of who I am. As most people who end up in a design career, I started at a ripe young age. I picked up my first pencil and started drawing at 5, falling in love and looking forward to art class everyday. Evolving into free hand sketching and anime (mostly Pokemon and Sailor Moon!) I soon realized how talented I really was and how special this was to me.

I really started getting into design when the first stages of social media were born. Remember Live Journal, Greatest Journal, Xenga and Myspace? These were the platforms that opened my eyes to the world of digital design. With YouTube just being born, there really were no easy or free ways to learn about design, especially at the age of 12. I read endless amounts of how to forums for Photoshop and HTML/CSS and was able to get Photoshop and dive into everything. Next thing you knew, I had friends and classmates begging for me to create them custom art and layouts for LJ, GJ and Myspace. And that’s how the designer in me was born!

Fast forward 20 years later, I live and breathe design. I draw inspiration from the world around me- the vibrant colors of nature, the clean lines of architecture, and the elegant simplicity of everyday objects all fuel my passion for design.

When I'm not immersed in the world of design, you'll often find me on my yoga mat, embracing the practice that brings balance, strength, and mindfulness into my life. Yoga has become a source of inspiration and a way to tap into my creativity, allowing me to approach design projects with a sense of calm and clarity. My motto is Always in Flux, a term I derived from my yoga teacher, that not only symbolizes movement and flow physically, but reminding me that life and the world around us is constantly changing, and we are always growing. When I’m not flowing on the mat, I am hitting the pavement running and getting outside to clear my head and get inspiration.

And of course my other passion near and dear to my heart— dogs! While design is a huge part of my life, saving innocent lives of helpless dogs is beyond fulfilling for me whether it’s donating, spreading awareness, or supporting local charity events. Most recently rescuing my 3rd dog from a kill shelter, Teddy along with Chubs and Winston are always by my side reminding me of the joy and unconditional love that exists in the world. I hope one day I can open my own dog sanctuary and spend my time giving these loving animals everything and more.

Professionally, I have over 10 years under my belt bringing a unique blend of expertise in print, web, digital, motion, and video design, as well as 5 years of digital marketing experience. My background in marketing has provided me with a strategic mindset when it comes to design, understanding the importance of creating designs that not only catch the eye but also serve a purpose. By analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and data-driven insights, I am able to develop unique designs that are highly effective in reaching and engaging the target audience. I believe that design has the power to shape experiences, evoke emotions, and drive meaningful connections. It's my mission to create designs that not only captivate visually but also leave a lasting impact on those who interact with them.
